Harbin, China is famous for its ice festival, but there is still a lot more to do in Harbin than just the ice festival. To see some of the cool things that you can see here, to get a short list of all the coolest things that I have done in China, here is my list of the best things that we have done in Harbin. Of all of them, the Harbinning Ice Festival, with its ice lanterns and ice sculptures, tops the list. If you are interested in something cooler, you should definitely visit the HARbin Ice and Lantern Fair.

It is perfectly possible to visit the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival on your own, and some online resources devoted to the festival will try to sell you a tour, but visiting independently is easy and fun, so don't waste your time and money. If you are travelling with a family with children, you can also explore the Siberian Tiger Park and the Harbin Polar Land when you travel to Harbin with your children. Some of them are far too expensive (300 yuan each), but there are some in the top five that I think are available for a HarbinIce Festival tour.
